Idea

We have adapted our products for a post-COVID-19 world. We're launching a home studio version of our filmmaking visual effects tool, ARFX, for content creators to work from the safety of their homes. Our Interactive product on the other hand, not only provides touch-free XR experiences for guests but can also deliver COVID-19 tracking analytics.

Current Status

The product is fully developed and available. We are currently operating in the U.S. To-date, our client list includes HBO, NBCUniversal, Adobe, M&M’s, Slamdance, Dolphin Image Studios and Netflix.
Most recently, in order to address the needs of COVID-19, we’re launching an at home studio version of our visual effects tool ARFX. We’re also adapting our interactive product to better meet the needs and hygienic concerns of stores, airports, transportation stations, etc.

Problem or Opportunity

Our flagship product, the ARwall FX System, produces in-camera composites with AR set extensions that allow for CG to finally be captured on set and included in final shots, no post VFX involved. By completely circumventing post-production VFX, ARFX drastically reduces time and cost. Due to stay at home orders, we’ve also created a version of this technology to be adapted and used in the home.
Clients for our home studio offering would be talk show hosts, broadcasters, live streamers, and any creators interested in producing quality content from their homes. There’s a huge demand for new content due to an increase in emerging platforms. People are consuming content more than they ever have before. We’re creating an XR solution for these creators to produce more compelling content in order to enhance viewer experience.
Our patent-pending spatial imaging technology is so revolutionary and foundational, it is actually the fastest spatial imaging tech of its kind. Fast enough even to fool the naked eye, which has also led to us developing AR3D, a VR/AR experience that requires no headset, no goggles, no wearables. Verticals for AR3D include B2C, med-tech, entertainment, gaming, live activations, education, hospitality, and more.
High traffic areas and frequently touched surfaces will be an ongoing concern as we recover from the pandemic and transition into post-COVID-19 life.
Given the massive disruption to world and US economies, it’s in the best interest of all businesses and public spaces to mitigate opportunities for COVID-19 and future pandemic viruses to spread.
With touchscreens and busy stores going out of fashion, minimizing product handling and human interaction are now chief challenges. Our offering represents an opportunity to solve all these challenges at once with a minimal investment, using existing off-the-shelf displays.

Solution (product or service)

ARwall products, ARFX and ARwall Interactive, power immersive XR experiences with no headset, goggles, wearables, or controllers required. Our interactive displays function automatically, without needing a dedicated operator.
ARFX is spatial imaging software that automates in-camera effects for film/TV production. This product drives drastic increase in production speed (up to 90%), reduces cost (up to 73%), and improves performances from actors. We have recently developed a version of ARFX for content creators to use at home due to world-wide stay at home orders.
Our second product, ARwall Interactive, is a platform for large-scale immersive, interactive, virtual experiences in public spaces. Our software turns screens into AR/XR illusions, with no headsets required. Our goal is to sell ARwall Interactive units to malls, airports, metro stations, etc. to not only provide XR experiences for guests but also deliver COVID-19 tracking analytics. We’d also like to introduce ARwall Interactive to virtual arcades, amusement parks, etc. when these businesses reopen to solve hygienic concerns for high traffic areas as we navigate a post-COVID-19 world.

Competitors

We have competitors with similar overlap, but we’re offering unique solves. There are virtual production tools that work similarly but they’re mostly used for pre-production. They’re also more expensive and have latency concerns, both of which we have solved.
Our most direct competitor is Disney Stagecraft which was used to make the Mandalorian, however, the technology is incredibly expensive and time consuming to use.
As far as our interactive platform, there are developers who have made similar experiences, but they aren’t as immersive as our offering. They also often require touchscreen displays, which will become less popular due to hygienic concerns.

Advantages or differentiators

The biggest advantage is that our technology is fast enough to be used for final shots. Similar technologies must use a mechanized camera arm to mask latency concerns. We've gotten the latency down so low that our technology can be used with a handheld camera. When filmmakers and content creators are freed of that limitation, they’re able to create more flexibly without creative restraints.
The biggest advantage of ARwall Interactive is that it’s safe, scalable, and customizable. We offer touch-free, immersive experiences that don’t require an operator. Experiential marketing is headed in this direction and we’re ahead of the curve.

Money will be spent on

The money will be spent on R&D, fulfilling pre-orders, and hiring more engineers and artists.
