Market
The Middle East & Africa region has a population of 1.6B includes 700M internet users. The MEA Pharmaceutical Market has reached $25B in value.
Problem or Opportunity
We democratize digital prescriptions to tackle the 3rd Global Patient Safety Challenge: Medication without harm, as identified by the WHO.
Unsafe medication practices and medication errors are a leading cause of injury and avoidable harm in health care systems across the world. Globally, the cost associated with medication errors has been estimated at $42 billion USD annually.
Solution (product or service)
Our solution considers four primary services:
1. Appointment booking aggregator: either for online sessions or for offline visits in partnership with existing appointment booking startups.
2. It also facilitates e-prescribing for doctors to prepare and communicate a digital Rx in almost 40 seconds.
3. Patients will be able to order their medications from e-pharmacies to be delivered at their doorstep.
4. Moreover, during the treatment, they will be able to follow-up with their doctors using organized engagement tools built especially for this purpose.
Competitors
Our addressable market is within the Middle East and Africa.
In general, we compete with:
1. Global e-prescribing platforms.
2. e-Medical Records systems
3. e-pharmacies and drug-fulfillment startups
Advantages or differentiators
The CureTicket business model is designed to fit low-income and the least developed countries.
However, we decided to differentiate ourselves by providing a practical solution that tackles a real pain for doctors in the region: a 40-sec digital prescribing platform instead of e-health records systems that are resisted by local doctors because of the cost, time-consuming, and the way they are supposed to operate.
Moreover, the platform provides post-consultation engagement for doctors and patients to ensure higher medication adherence.
