Idea

The overall aim of the project is to reach out to the most vulnerable and hard-to-reach populations to secure adequate access to reliable information, promote information sharing (sensitization) and help persons who suspect they might be infected to self-report to authorities to initiate surveillance, and facilitating testing of COVID-19

people with possession of mobile phones – This include parents, community leaders, and school-going children above 18 will have a role to motivate the community to use the system rather than be overwhelmed by fear of the virus while not taking any step to protect oneself

Problem or Opportunity

While COVID-19 poses a threat to the whole world, refugees and vulnerable communities experience a great threat comparing others. This is because of fact that these people have poor health services and very poor accessibility to accurate information, lack of means to reach good and median health care, and complex ways to reach and access expert's advice on health-related issues.

Solution (product or service)

The overall aim of the project is to create a USSD based system that will facilitate the reach out to the most vulnerable and hard-to-reach populations.

The USSD will allow the huge population in Africa to secure adequate access to reliable information, promote information sharing (sensitization), and help persons who suspect they might be infected of COVID-19 to self-report to authorities and initiate surveillance, monitoring, and facilitate testing for COVID-19. While it is difficult to increase information reach out to the most vulnerable.

Dzacovid Response USSD will be used for self-reporting beyond only awareness-raising and contribute to the validity and authenticity of the information shared and help the nation avoid “fake news”.

Currently, my customers have been left without any supporting solution that can help them to be free and capable

Advantages or differentiators

The current solution is based on SMS which in one way communication. With this, the vulnerable people can not communicate with the experts direct which can cause a lot of challenges in the situation of emergencies like the COVID-19

Money will be spent on

Payment of the system Infrastructure: Designing and implementation of the system, Hosting and domain registration, security features packing = US $3389.83

Mobile operator integration through USSD = US $1898.31

The monthly payment for 12 in covering the system maintenance to the Mobile Operators = US $11389.83

Offer for investor

30% of the company will be offered to the investor
