People need to continuously track their physiology in order to take charge of their health and keep chronic diseases in check. Following COVID-19, people are reluctant to visit doctors, but still need a solution to monitor the vital signs. Existing wearable devices are either uncomfortable or do not provide sufficient data.

Facense’s solution is designed to be widely accessible. The system will be of particular benefit to the elderly, patients in skilled nursing facilities or hospitals, workers in safety-sensitive occupations, and anyone who is at particular risk of experiencing detrimental health events.

Facenese is the only smartglasses that continuously collect & analyze ALL vital signs, and are able to detect coughing, sneezing, and social distancing. The data is delivered securely and privately to a mobile phone app, and from there may be (optionally) sent via secured channel to telehealth service providers.

- Smartwatches and adhesive patches cannot measure core body temperature, coughing, and shortness of breath, and thus CANNOT detect COVID-19 symptoms!
- NO other smartglasses / AR glasses on the market have 2 temperature sensors, 4 PPG sensors, 2 microphones and IMU like Facense has. Facense smartglasses are the ONLY everyday lightweight smartglasses able to detect all vital signs.

Facense has both freedom to operate (validated through massive prior art searches), 30+ allowed US patents, and a wide and strong worldwide patent portfolio covering a variety of hardware and software inventions related to smartglasses for medical applications.

- Convert the beta smartglasses to a mass-production product.
- Manufacture and sell as Facense AI Smartglasses.

In the first stage, we rely on off-the-shelf components that are used today for smartwatches and cellphones. The main risk is the prediction accuracy of the machine learning algorithms. The more training sets we have, the higher the accuracy of our prediction should be. The second stage will be discussed under NDA.
