Current Status
kNEEBU was launched in the Greater Chicago Area in November 2018. The first few months were spent to sign up service providers across various categories of service and we booked our first transaction in March 2019.
Since March-April 2019, the growth accelerated significantly, where the number of customers, service providers and transactions grew between 100 - 200 % every month.

kNEEBU is currently in use in the Greater Chicago Area where it has already gained traction and is growing 100-200% over the past few months. As we continue to grow kNEEBU in the Greater Chicago Area in the future, our goal is to start scaling kNEEBU to other major cities in US, in Q4 2019, starting with San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC region (MD/DC/VA).
Problem or Opportunity
Imagine you made a last minute plan with your spouse or significant other, and you need a nanny for your kids. Currently, there is no easy way for you to get Nannies On Demand. You have to find nannies online or through existing solutions, ask for their rates, ask their availability, which usually takes a few days. If their rates are too high, you start the process all over again.
Similar problem occurs if you need a nurse or a caregiver. Getting their rate and availability is a few day process and if either of them doesn't suit you, the process starts all over again.
Problem Statement: Getting a service provider to come to your house, for commonly or frequently used services (e.g.: Nurse, Ironing Clothes, Chef, Handyman, Nanny, etc.) is a tedious task, and you can't get one quick enough, when you need them right away.

kNEEBU is a building a human network of skilled individuals, who are willing to monetize their expertise. They can mark themselves available and set their hourly rate through the platform. This allows customers to know which service provider is available when needed, and within their budget, instantly, and allows the customer and service provider to connect instantly via chat/phone call.
This allows customers to get service providers for most commonly or frequently used services, quickly, when they are most needed.
Currently kNEEBU has 40+ service categories available and in use, in the Greater Chicago Area. If there is demand for additional categories to be added, kNEEBU is built to add additional categories within minutes.

Current competitors are companies like Home Advisor, Care dot com, Thumbtack, Wag, Task Rabbit, Yelp, Angie's List, etc. All of these competitors exhibit the problem statement that exists today, which fueled the need for a solution like kNEEBU.

Finance
kNEEBU has grossed just over $10,000 in the past 3 months. As we continue to accelerate our user growth (consumers and service providers), we expect the Gross Revenue in the next 6 months to exceed $100,000.
Business model
For every service completed by kNEEBU's service providers, the service provider gets 90% of what the customer pays and kNEEBU charges 10% service fees.
Money will be spent on
Resource hiring, product enhancement and marketing, to continue accelerated growth in Greater Chicago Area and for scaling in other major US cities.
Offer for investor
I am willing to offer equity to the investor. The % of equity is negotiable and depends on what the investor is bringing to the table.
For example, is the investor only bringing capital? or do they also have expertise in this field so they can be a strategic advisor? or connections to enable strategic partnerships, which can fuel accelerated growth?
The biggest risk is the chicken and egg problem, which makes it very hard to get the company off to an accelerated start. Once the company gains traction in one city, it becomes relatively easier to scale to other cities but the chicken and egg problem still persists and requires an effective strategy to tackle this chicken & egg issue.
Incubation/Acceleration programs accomplishment
kNEEBU has not participated in any incubation/acceleration program yet, but is open to considering participating in one, if it can accelerate the growth of the company.
Won the competition and other awards
kNEEBU was one of the nominees for the 2018 Chicago Innovation Awards, but since the company did not start generating any revenue in 2018, we did not qualify to win the competition.
