Idea

The female mosquito is the deadliest animal on planet and transmits diseases such as Malaria, Dengue, Zika etc.
Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) is an alternative to chemicals, including the release of sterile male mosquitoes, seeking out females, which mate once in their life time, causing a significant drop in the local population.
Senecio develop robotic solutions based deep learning technology to automate the manufacturing and release process of millions of mosquitoes per day to make the sterile mosquitoes an affordable and commercial solution on large scale.

Current Status

Technology prototype.
Positioned at mosquito factory abroad for validations.

Market

The vector control market is a billion dollar market.
It is made of both public and private second.
Short term markets are the USA, Brazil
Later : Colombia, followed by China and Singapore, followed by Mexico and other Latin and Asia countries.

Problem or Opportunity

Producing mosquitoes require many trained people.
This is a problem when a mosquito factory want to open new locations in other states, and so he need to hire (for short term) people and then train them well.

A single machine that can do automatically what around 8 people are doing, repeatedly, with high accuracy and being affordable.
A robotic Sex Sorting robot the sort mosquitoes and place them in release boxes for later release.
