We make music education work at scale. We acquire, retain and manage students for teachers, digitize school marketing and enrollments for schools, and boost learner outcomes with AI-practice support.

Current Status

#1 in Switzerland with best-in-class unit economics: CAC payback on first booking, 6.2x CLV:CAC, 64% student retention (16x higher than learning apps).
Yamaha partnership to enter Japan: PoC agreed with Yamaha (LOI under discussion).
2025 FC: Total revenue $1.4M, ARR $0.4M
2026: $2.1M ARR

Problem or Opportunity

Music learning is broken and fragmented. 67% of adults want to play, yet 70% never get started and 60% of starters drop out. Teachers and schools lack modern tools and visibility; practice apps have weak retention (3–5% after 90 days); 90% of lessons still happen offline; there’s no unified, engaging learning journey.

Solution (product or service)

Matchspace Music is a learner-centred platform that connects students, teachers, schools, and instrument brands in one place. We combine: (1) a high-conversion lesson marketplace, (2) Teacher SaaS & School PaaS to acquire and retain students, (3) AI-powered practice support that keeps learners engaged, and (4) D2C enablement for instrument brands (incl. instrument-lesson bundles) to drive lifetime value, end-to-end.

Business model

Multi-sided, recurring, and transaction-driven:
- B2C: Commission on lessons subscriptions
- B2C: SaaS for teaching tool
- B2B (Schools): Marketing-as-a-Service (monthly fee, service fee) to fill classes and automate course enrollments.
- B2B2C (D2C for Brands/Retailers/Publishers): Kick-backs and bundled instrument-lesson packages that lift CLV and lower CAC for partners.
