Swistor develops an energy storage solution to complement or replace batteries with a solution that charges in seconds, has 30 times longer lifetime and is environmentally friendly and safe.
Current Status
We developed an MVP reaching 50 Wh/kg, superior to current Supercapacitor technologies that we are currently testing in the field with an industrial automotive partner powering an electric system in the car. We are currently doing market validation and we are planning to raise a Seed Round in 2024.
Problem or Opportunity
There is a clear market need of improved energy solutions for portable electronics, electric vehicles, storage of energy generated by alternative solutions, autonomous IoT nodes etc as current solutions have reached fundamental limitations, they charge extremely slowly, degrade after 1000 charging cycles and at extreme temperatures and use toxic and dangerous materials.
In the last years portable electronic devices offer fast charging features showing a trend on the market, however these come at the cost of a shorter lifetime and are based on algorithms showing hardware limitations.
Solution (product or service)
We develop high energy and fast charging hybrid supercapacitor based solutions that combine high energy storage capability with high-power delivery capability, to enable the next generation of energy storage devices, to complement and eventually replace current batteries with an environmentally friendly solution.
Our technology enhances the energy density of the supercapacitors 3-fold but also extends their lifetime by more than 30 times compared to traditional batteries, leading to longevity, reducing the need for frequent replacements and resulting in significant cost savings for users.
Business model
We have a B2B business model and we aim to develop the product together with a potential customer or an industrial partner and start ramping up production for high volumes until 2026.
Our position in the value chain is to provide complete energy storage solutions as a component and system manufacturer to consumer electronics market players (mobile phones: Vivo, Oppo, Huawei etc , and companies like Alarm, Honeywell etc) and IoT systems manufacturers (Everbrite, EnOcean etc).
