Idea

There is nothing quick, contactless or hyper personalised about retail shopping today. We provide an autonomous retail checkout solution with hyper personalised promotions using Big Data and AI.

Current Status

Signed MoUs with customer to pilot & scale in South Africa and attending international retail and technology trade shows. Microsoft sponsored our participation at GITEX Dubai and we are at NRF show (largest retail show in the USA) NYC in January.

Problem or Opportunity

24% of customers abandon baskets in stores due to long checkout queues costing retailers $4.6t annually. Customers are also looking for a digital experience in a physical store, a phygital shopper journey.

Solution (product or service)

We provide a quick, contactless & hyper personalised retail checkout. Our solution uses a scan-as-you-shop mobile application that scans barcodes and facilitates automatic payment using a variety of digital payment platforms, including PayPal, Zapper, SnapScan, Masterpass and crypto currencies, such as BitCoin. At the back end, Q-HOP collects and analyses customer data in real time to enable smarter, on-the-fly decision-making aimed at maximising profits through personalised promotions and continuously improving the customer experience.

Business model

B2B IoT-aa-S with big data monetisation. We charge a fixed amount of $250 per month per Q-HOP kiosk and once we have sufficient customer data we will monetise this data insights.

GSD Venture Studios
We signed a global strategic alliance with Microsoft Corporation in the USA. Our advisory board includes the former Chief Data and Information Security Officer of Apple and eBay as well as the lead who took Instagram Stories from MVP to 1b+ monthly active users and the Top Women in Retail and former Kroger GVP.
