When a book is not available from a local library,
our app finds it worldwide, copies the book legally for private use,
sends its access code to last mile printer,
for DUAL book home delivery
Current Status
We launched our services to 30 million Russian families primary school textbooks, with PERSONALISED mailers for secure access to own content:
books are robust like in a hardcover + lightweight like in a softcover.
I exited my Russian businesses due to failing privacy laws in Russia.
Our service could save half of 20 billion $ annually textbook costs for US students; e.g. it saves 200 mln. $ mailers postage costs in Russia.
We received the legal statement of the Finnish Copyright Council for our business model of book private copying applying to each EU MS.
Problem or Opportunity
Publishers are killing public library, by high-jacking book digitisation, for controlling access to Knowledge, by gate-keeper-effect (illegal per EU MS laws), misusing personal data of eBook readers, for growing publishers profits, exploiting attention economy Real Time Bidding, contrary to readers & authors societal interests.
E.g. Amazon stopped selling eBooks to public libraries (hence 80% of eBooks stopped to be FREE accessible, raise inequality, marginalise under-served people) which is shrinking the public assets of Cultural Heritage, Public Access to Knowledge, Freedom of Information.
Solution (product or service)
When a book is not available from a local library website (e.g. in Accessible Format, required by law),
our application helps to find it world-wide, to copy/transform the book legally for private use,
and sends the twin file/access code to a printer near library patron home, for eco-friendly book home delivery,
both on paper & digitally;
in one unique copy, adjusted to user needs, e.g. as a PERSONALISED textbook, the global educational trend.
Our legal-tech model ensures book copying for PRIVATE USE ONLY, i.e. conform to copyright laws.
Business model
We incentivise millions people-in-need to scan by phone a certain book for our global Network, e.g. by student volunteers for FREE textbook or for 15€ p.A.
It takes less 15 min. per 400 pages book in DocScan app, then it transfers book data to TRANSKRIBUS community, participated by 100+ cultural institutions internationally, e.g. in Finland: National Archive, National Library, Uni of Helsinki.
Our tech (incl. Zero Knowledge Proofs, Decentralised Identities, Personal Data Stores, securely printed mailers) ensures that book scan & book meta data are P2P transferred for private use only.
