Anywyse is the marketplace where the creation of audio-first courses becomes hassle-free for the creator while providing a guaranteed learning experience for the listener.
Current Status
We started off in March 2021.
Build the first MVP in April and launched our first B2B customer (University of applied sciences) for €69.000 in May to further develop the product and our app.
After testing the B2B proposition and using their resources to build the app we focussed on B2C -building towards the marketplace- when we launched at the University of Amsterdam in September.
We penetrated the first year of the study European Studies with 51% paying users. We used €0 marketing since the students organically made it grow by recommending it to each other.
Problem or Opportunity
Audio is going through the roof with de podcast market and audio books market exploding. The foremost reason people listen to podcast is to learn something new. However, the format of a podcast is made to entertain, not to learn you anything which you will actually remember.
At the same time screen fatigue is real and only increasing, people want to get away from their screens for new information since the overkill they are experiencing in screentime.
Last but not least the attention span of human beings has decreased to mere 8 seconds in 2022.
Solution (product or service)
We are building the first marketplace to easily create and share bite-sized audio fragments of a maximum of 10 minutes which put together make a course.
Our format is designed to enhance an actual learning experience via audio instead of bringing informative information via an entertainment format - learning on the go made easy and reliable.
The smart creator tooling is designed to enable anyone to easily create bite-sized audio fragments and sell them to peers on our marketplace.
On the listener side, the (web) app is focused on further strengthening the learning experience.
Business model
The marketplace is set on a revenue share which is fair for the creator. This needs to be so because we believe in the future economy is that of the creator. The creator (writer) get's 50%, our voices who voice the fragment 10% and the editor 10% while Anywyse get's 30%
We've already noticed that by rewarding everyone in the chain they are all incentives to create new users because they feel it is the product they are promoting. We are testing with the right percentage for the right creator.
