The EU aims to rid the oceans of plastic and reduce plastic. reCIRCLE offers reusable packaging as an alternative to single-use packaging for the catering industry and is already successful in Switzerland and Germany.
Current Status
Service is already installed in Switzerland and Germany. Now we want to enter the market in Austria to connect the three countries and to use synergies.
Market
Gastronomy, food delivery, canteens, bakerys, kindergardens, communities. The competitor Vytal is collecting their products and bringing them fr om one point to another. We at reCIRCLE would like to skip that step and bring customers to use reusable products whenever possible. Therefore there is also an online-shop, wh ere customers can get our produtcs. Till end ov 2021 there will also be a reusable pizza package: https://www.recircle.ch/rebox#toc461
Problem or Opportunity
Although EU is supporting to avoid plastic, there is the problem, that end consumers sometimes don´t want to use reusable packaging. It also takes 5 times of sales calls, that restaurants decide to use reusable packaging. But: the goal of the EU is set and singel use packaging will be forebidden in future. Competitors are Vytal (Germany) or ruCup. But reCIRCLE is the only company which develops and produces their products in Switzerland and has the longest company history (6 years of experience).
