Ariviya is a deep tech Startup, which uses science to solve a real-world problem using novel technologies like nanotechnology, biotechnology & polymer technology.
Current Status
Ariviya Inc. is a Nano biotech deep technology startup in Silicon Valley\ bay area for animal and human health care products. It invents solutions for the problems in human wellness & animal welfare. Ariviya Technologies Private Limited is the subsidiary company located in Tamil Nadu, India, for the research and product development activity at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras Research Park, Chennai, as an Incubatee. Our major focus is on the Animal healthcare sector. There is a day-to-day need for our products in Livestock Farming in the Animal welfare industry, mainly to prevent diseases like Mastitis in Dairy Farming and prevent infections in Poultry. It is a fast-acting & broad-spectrum that has considerable advantages over chemical-based products.
Market
Our initial target market in India. Ariviya follows lean canvas strategy where the prototype was developed and shared among the customers for their feedback, and we have got good results from them. Before launching the product in the market, we want to get approval from CDSCO in India and EPA from the US to develop creditability on the product. In India, rapid urbanization has ensured that more milk is being created, processed, and transported & the globalized delivery has led to higher expectations in food safety. Nowadays, global giants like LACTALIS, HUTSON entered the Milk market. Therefore, developing a business partnership would generate more customers for us.
Problem or Opportunity
Mastitis is a major problem affecting the dairy industries. Mastitis is an inflammation of the mammary gland. It occurs when white blood cells (leukocytes) are released into the mammary gland, usually in response to the bacteria invading the teat canal of the udder. Milk-secreting tissue and the mammary gland are damaged due to toxins released by the bacteria resulting in reduced yield and quality of milk. There are 2 types of mastitis, clinical & subclinical. Subclinical mastitis shows no visible symtomps, but clinical mastitis is identified by abnormalities in the udder such as swelling, heat, redness, hardness, or pain (for clinical mastitis). Other symptoms of mastitis may be abnormalities in milk such as watery appearance, flakes, or clots. Currently to prevent & cure mastitis chemicals and antibiotics are used, which affect the consumability of milk & in the long-run cause environmentsl hazards. Annual loss due to Mastitis in the Indian and USA dairy industries is estimated to be several billion US$ We propose an environment-friendly, biocompatible product designed using green nanotechnology that can be used to prevent Mastitis.
Solution (product or service)
Currently, the market is dominated by chemicals, as it is extensively used in various industries in the long run, it causes environmental hazards. Higher exposure to the same chemicals, microbes generate resistance.
Therefore, there is a massive demand growing among the end-user population for an alternative technology.
Ariviya solves the issue with its innovative technology by stabilizing the nanoparticles on biopolymers using a bioprocess and converts it into a scalable day-to-day use product.
The technology's key feature is its broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. It kills superbugs and also prevents the generation of resistant strains of microbes. The biopolymer dries & forms a thin layer on the applied surface. It's eco-friendly and rich in amino acids and natural organic compounds.
Ariviya's product pipelines fall into 4 categories: Prevention, Hygiene, Health, and Sensor. Each has a unique position to make a difference in the world. However, they together help us detect pathogens, prevents disease, provide a hygienic environment & heal wounds faster. Therefore, providing a cleaner and healthier lifestyle for individuals, families, and animals associated with them throughout their existence & we have developed 10 products in the pipeline. Based on the product traction & market analysis, our mentors & advisors have guided us to proceed with the 2 products in the pipeline. 1. MammaryO - a post teat dip solution to prevent the intramammary infection called Mastitis. 2. FarmSward - a nano disinfectant solution used to clean the surface of livestock farms.
Competitors
DeLaval, GEA, Ecolabs, Virosan, Virbac, Finktec
Advantages or differentiators
Our key invention is programming & sizing the noble NP, stabilizing NP on natural biopolymer & green synthesis of nanoparticles at scale.
Finance
Our initial target will be on clean milk production products and farm disinfectant products, as Ariviya see better traction on them to reach the market & via the following strategy, Ariviya wants to generate income.
Business model
Our initial target will be on clean milk production products and farm disinfectant products. Ariviya see better traction on them to reach the market & via the following strategy, Ariviya wants to generate income.
Licensing the technology Biotechnology companies at all stages of growth need a robust technology platform and capital. Ariviya, an emerging startup, needs a technology platform and instant credibility to attract investors & an established, private company requires a products pipeline and real-time revenues to remain viable in the market. Therefore, there could be possible acquisition or pipeline expansion opportunities via strategic alliances. For example, If Ariviya licenses your technology to one of the biggest distributors in the market. In that case, it becomes easy for our Product to get superior market penetration, which will add to an increase in sales and get the brand a huge exposure.
In Licensing to Manufacture & Market Ariviya is looking for a trustworthy partner that will manufacture & market its Product. For that reason, in-licensing agreements will be useful; even if a product proves wildly successful, Ariviya will split product profits between the two companies.
Marketing via the distribution channel The product launch in the market via distribution channels would be a massive and significant investment is needed. Therefore, Ariviya would License its Product to an established company that will help to launch the Product in the market, faster and within the shortest time possible.
Money will be spent on
The money need for different regulations studies and licensing works. For that, it is necessary to conduct GLP/EPA studies.
Offer for investor
we are looking for an investor as collaborator, partners and etc. We are discussing with big players in the market such as Lactalis, Elanco, RB and looking forward to more investors too.
The efficiency of the product decreases with time and studies are being done to increase its shelf life. The efficiency of the product depends on the climatic and geographical conditions. This can be overcome by optimizing the product formulation with respect to climatic and geographical conditions. Also, there are many competitive players available such as DeLaval, 3M, etc. with a worldwide presence but we have a competitive advantage over them as we are natural, bio-degradable, and eco-friendly. We innovate and be relevant to the market by keeping up with technology. It is difficult to copy our technology because of the unique formulation we employ in the production of the product.
