Clique is an integrated platform that helps schools, tutors, and creators to run an online school and monetize content through video hosting, online classes, and paid live events.

Current Status

Clique is currently piloted in 7 schools. We have an average of 200 daily active users and 1000 monthly active users. We are making about 500 dollars in MRR.

Market

We are currently operating in Nigeria. We have about 30,000 established schools comprising of over 80,000,000 students and 500,000 tutors.

We are also exploring the prospect of talking to professionals to use our platform to monetize their knowledge.

Problem or Opportunity

For schools to deliver lessons to students online usually require the use of different combinations of tools. A tool to share learning contents, a tool to conduct assessments, and a tool to deliver live lessons. This usually creates a lot of friction as students and tutors will need to have and maintain different login details to a different platform. It also leads to a high cost for schools and tutors as they will need to service different applications from different vendors.

Creators in Africa also have a challenge on how to monetize their contents has there exists no platform that serves the Africa market effectively.

Solution (product or service)

Clique is one platform that has all the tools that schools and tutors will need to deliver effective lessons to students irrespective of their location. With Clique, tutors and schools can create and run an online school.

Clique also makes it possible for creators in Africa to monetize their content through video hosting, online classes, and live events.

Competitors

Clique currently does not have any direct competitor. We look at our competitors as a combination of tools from different companies.

The tools we categories as competitors are:

- Google Classroom
- Class Dojo
- Zoom
- Microsoft Team
- Google Meet.

Advantages or differentiators

Unlike any of the tools above, Clique is made with tutors and creators in mind. We offer an excellent platform that enables tutors to deliver effective lessons to students irrespective of their location.

Our platform also enables creators to monetize their content through video hosting, online classes, and live events.

All these are currently not possible with the competitive tools above.

Finance

We are charging subscription fees base on the number of students a school is having on our platform capped at 1 dollars per month. We equally take 5% to 10% of every transaction that happens on our platform.

With our current traction and growth, we are expecting to have over 30,000,000 dollars MRR in the next 5 years.

Business model

We have adopted the SaaS business model for our Clique LMS platform and charging on subscription. We have also adopted a revenue-sharing model for our marketplace.

Risks

Our challenges are Google making a significant improvement on Goggle meet, merge it with Google Classroom, tailor it to serve tutors better, and make it freely available. These will significantly impact our SaaS model and we will be left only with the marketplace that creators can use to monetize their content.
