1)Electric trailer axle (2x50kW=100kW or more)
2)Energy harvesting from trailer axle vibrations (2x3kW=6kW per axle)
3)Designing new air brake caliper for the axles to be produced.
Current Status

1)There are some multinational companies like WABCO, BPW, BOSCH, All are working on R&D stage at the moment.
2)This is completely new project.
3)There are producers of air brake calipers over the world mainly WABCO, KNORR, HALDEX, BENDİX, BPW. However, there is no producer of air brake calipers in Turkey. The caliper market worth in Turkey is 1B USD. To sell and compete with these very strong competitors, complete axles should be produced with its own calipers.
Market
There are classic trailer axle and caliper producers all over the world.
There are no producer who is working on complete projects like mine.
The complete trailer electric axle with its brake calipers and free energy harvester on the axle can be sold all over the world with short ROI for the customer.
Problem or Opportunity
As project items described above
My project(s) based on clean energy and green environment. This problem will take time according to countries' situations, regulations. Project(s) have many opportunities. First of all in EU countries they are focused on electric trucks and trailer trucks. No works on trailers. Only WABCO has some visual photos which you will see on the followings. A differential gear mechanism is used. Trailers have no live axles. If they are powered with electric, they support e.trailer trucks for a longer range driving, there is enough space under trailers for batteries. Trailer trucks which work with combustion engines will save fuel up to 60%. Transportation costs will dramaticly decend.
1) There is no problem technically. Opportunities that I know described above. It must be patented as hardware and software.
2) This has never been done before. It needs a little bit R&D works. It must be patented as well.
3) There is no problem technically. I have designed and manufactured air brake caliper before. It works very well. It is patented to the company which I consulted. However, they did not and will not do anything for the caliper due to their technical insuffiency. I have great experience on calipers. I will design a new one to be patented. The opportunity is there is no producer of complete air brake caliper here in Turkey. Total domestic market value is 1B USD.
Solution (product or service)
The biggest cost of a logistic companies is fuel. Electric trailer axles can provide up to 60% fuel save plus more free energy will come from harvesting device on the axle.
Competitors
The air brake caliper world market shared by WABCO, BPW, HALDEX, MERITOR, KNORR, BENDIX. That's all. They also cooperate together over the world.

Trailer producers use powerless axles. By now, I call them classic axles.
Advantages or differentiators
The slack adjusting mechanism of the caliper must be unique for patenting. I know almost all mechanisms. Some are not valid any longer. I am designing my own mechanism. After applying to patent office no one can copy it.
Energy harvesting machine which I am already planning and calculating has never done before. It is very simple but absolutely unique. I always think simply. My motto is "simply the best".
Electric axle will have no differential mechanism. Double independent electric motors will be used and a software will be written for e.differential. Some producers are working on it in EU. Patenting is not a "must" for it because it is not suitable for patenting. The control system would need patenting.
Finance
I regret that I am not able to calculate the world market. For example one of caliper is sold 250-350 Euros. A trailer has min.6 max.8 calipers. Energy harvester cost is 3.000 USD. A big amount of money will be paid for homologations and tests. There would be many variations of the axle to make the customers happy.
Business model

The customers will be mostly the trailer producers to assemble the axles on their trailers and logistic fleets who want to convert their trailers to electric powered trailer for fuel saving.

My project is a big project. Big projects has big risks, big capital and very big income. However, I do not see any risk or failure because I am thinking on it for ten years, each risks, failures.
As I mentioned before energy harvesting machine needs R&D works with many experiments.
Turkey is always in economic crisis. We used to live like that. The production facility can be set up anywhere on the world. Turkey will stand even in the crisis.
