Idea

To provide video content owners and distributors the services and tools (technology) to effectively monetize, manage and distribute their content. AdNext.TV, which was developed and incubated in Divan.tv (OTT content platform), delivers a robust suite of ad serving, monetization, out-stream distribution, and audience retention solutions.

Current Status

Platform technology is at commercial readiness, though additional work is necessary for integration on client side with first partner/client.
Sales & business development will be the primary focus.

We serve video content creators wherever their content lives, including OTT platforms, connected digital devices, desktop, and mobile solutions.

Problem or Opportunity

MVPD, OTT and Video Content publisher and distributor looking for play-out and distribution, monetization, audience retention and inventory management and data services. The goal is to help content creators and distributors to compete, by increasing audience reach and distribution, monetizing available content and maximizing yield, and creating unique audience retention solutions to provide viewers incentive to engage and remain active with content across platforms.

Solution (product or service)

AdNext.tv provides a robust solution suite along with service arm and necessary advertiser (demand side) partnerships and integrations (DSP, SSP, agencies, trade desks, etc.) to help ensure we maximize content and audience revenue. We also provide unique blockchain based reward programs to incentivize audience engagement and retention.

Competitors

Competition varies by service, and no single competitor has the full suite of solutions we offer to the market. It is our belief that our suite of services and solutions offers our clients a much more holistic one-stop-shop approach to solving their inventory monetization and management needs, allowing them to focus on their core business - developing great content! Primary competitors include:

Advantages or differentiators

As above - we offer a holistic solution and a far more robust platform for self-service options. Our greatest differentiator is our advanced analytics and reporting suite, along with permissioning. Operationally, our greatest advantage is our cost of operation. Our primary team of engineers is based in Ukraine, and we operate on a proprietary server infrastructure that offers us a great cost (3-5x cheaper than cloud solutions) and speed advantage.

Finance

Our goal is to reach $10mm in revenue by the end of 2020. Revenue will be derived from SaaS platform revenue for the ad server and DSP, revenue share contribution from monetization services, and a small portion of professional services, distribution partnerships, and data related services.

Business model

Our main business is inventory monetization, where we establish a technical relationship with the publisher to manage monetization of their video inventory through a programmatic and RTB (Real-Time Bidding) approach. In exchange for our services we enter a revenue share relationship, where we ear a % of total revenue we bring to the content publisher - typically 15-25%.

AdNext also offers a self service option for use of our ad-server and DSP platform, which would garner a fee based on the volume of transactions processed through our platform.

Finally, AdNext offers a customer retention solution which enables content creators to offer their audience a fair exchange of token (blockchain based) value for engaging with paid or advertiser supported content, which can be exchanged for premium content.

Our commercial model is to engage through technology partners that offer other solutions, such as play-out services, to content owners, through OTT platforms, and directly to video content owners, OTT platforms, and MVPDs.

Risks

Competition will squeeze margins in the form of pressure on revenue share terms. We also need to balance supply (publisher inventory) along with demand (advertisers/buyers) to ensure inventory yield is maximized by creating a rich exchange environment. Sales and business development is key to maintain this balance.

Incubation/Acceleration programs accomplishment

AdNext platform was developed for and by engineers of Divan.tv, and though it is run as an independent company, AdNext has cut its teeth in a real-world global environment.
