Idea or High Level Concept

Delta Development has the longest lasting battery powered fridge to help medics deliver blood and vaccines.

Traction and Current Status

We finished our first product, the small APRU refrigerator in Q4 2020.
22 Validated Customers, large Army sales/small commercial sales

Our second product, the portable blood warmer was finished in Q2 2021, but is awaiting non-clinical testing and FDA clearance which is expected to complete 2023.
Our third product, the larger medical refrigerator is expected to complete early 2024.
Our fourth product, a more affordable civilian ambulance cooler, is expected to complete mid 2023.

Problem or Opportunity

Prior to today, if you are seriously injured in a combat zone or a car crash, you have to be rushed to the hospital to get a blood infusion. The entire US military and some civilian medics have begun to give blood at the scene of the injury, increasing chances of survival. To give blood on site, it has to be kept cold until it is delivered.

Solution

We built the world's longest lasting battery powered medical refrigerator. It keeps blood, vaccines, and organs stored 15x longer than competitors, can survive being dropped, transported in helicopters, being left in the snow or rain, and meets FDA standards.

Business Model, Chanells, Metrics

Modern militaries around the world have already adopted mobile blood programs and devices like ours. This is demonstrated by most of our sales being to military medical teams. Civilian medical teams are just getting started and we have had a few civilian sales. Our next challenge is making our products more affordable for the wider civilian market while also helping these new customers navigate local regulatory issues on blood transport by adopting our hardware. We're able to develop these new products by winning government SBIR contracts which then are commercialized for civillian use.
