Idea or High Level Concept

Autonomous, affordable, and adaptable aircraft for heavy-payload logistics across both global supply chains and defense operations.

Traction and Current Status

We signed our first contract with the Department of Defense last week. We have built strong relationships with the DoD over the last year and are retiring tech risk with our "flying test bed" aircraft.

Problem or Opportunity

Modern militaries face a "last tactical mile"; crisis. Traditional ground convoys are too slow; manned helicopters are too scarce and vulnerable. As US PACOM Commander Adm. Paparo noted, "We should never send a human to do what a machine can." Blue Horizon solves this beachhead problem with autonomous vertical lift that moves critical supplies 5x faster at 1/10th the cost. Starting with defense—where the need is urgent and funded—our adaptable technology scales directly into casualty evacuation, counter-UAS, disaster response, and global commercial logistics.

Solution

Blue Horizon builds AI-enabled autonomous vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, starting with TETHER—a light-lift (100–1,000 lbs payload) cargo platform for runway-independent logistics. Designed around true autonomy, affordability, and modularity, TETHER delivers lift at a fraction of legacy cost. Our proprietary powertrain, autonomy, and low-cost manufacturing create a strong technical moat. As one USMC commander noted, we solve a scenario with no current solution. Like SpaceX for did launch, we make vertical lift accessible, starting with defense and scaling to commercial flight.

Business Model, Chanells, Metrics

Our business model is to sell aircraft and associated services (maintenance, training, spares, repair, modifications) to commercial and military customers.
